Camden Two Month Shots!

Two Month Check-Up~ Tuesday

Camden weighed 10 lb~ 12ounces ( 25-50% Percentile)
Measured 23 inches long ( 50% Percentile)
Head Circumference 15 3/4 cm ( 50% Percentile)

Camden passed all the "little" tests that Dr. White gave him and he overall had a great check-up.
He also got his shots today which after Dr. White examined him I left and let Daddy hold his hand for that part, right now I just don't like the fact they are inflicting pain on my 9 week old. I will deal if he falls down or gets hurt accidentally but Daddy can deal with the shots. Camden did fine with them bearly making a sound when they did it, Steve refers to him as a "Real Man".

Camden met his Uncle Jeff and Aunt Becky along with his cousins, Eli and Andrew this weekend. You can browse some pictures of the weekend Click Here!
We had a great time with them all at the park and just playing around the house. It was great to see the boys and how much they have grown. They are both full of character! Camden cannot wait to see them in a couple of weeks when we drive down for Jon's wedding. As promised I drilled Becky with Baby questions and she helped with many of them. Camden smiled at all of them the whole weekend!

Shawn's graduation went well and it was great to see all the Family Saturday, Aunt Jodi watched Camden while we went to the graduation before the cook out at Weasel's. I think she truly enjoyed his company as he did hers. Then we went to the cook out afterwards and everyone got to see Camden.
Mom has been up since Tuesday to help out with Camden. I went back today to find out about my MRI results, I will write more on that later.. It has been a long day!
Good night!

12 Hours without Camden today, I sure did miss him!

Disclaimer: Cannot watch the video if you are going to laugh at my "Baby Voice" Sorry but it happens!

Thoughts about today:

Camden went to Mrs Lisa's for the day, Steve took him this morning and picked him up when he got off. Steve did great trying to get used to the routine! He is such a great Daddy and Husband! He tries so hard. Camden, Daisy and I have decided to keep him. =) Camden did great with her today. I think Lisa has already fell in love with him. Its not that hard to do. She assured us that the two times Mom called her, the three or four times I called her and Steve calling her she didn't care at all, She even sent me a text message of him sleeping. I think this is going to be a good thing. Steve and I have a great feeling about it all.

I went to the Spa, thanks to my husbands great gift certificate and had a mani/pedi and it was great! Jennifer and I caught up on much needed gossip talk since I have not seen her since early March it was great to see her!

I showed everyone and I mean everyone today my Brag Book, it was exciting to see how everyone reacted to his pictures, they all loved him.

I had X-rays and an MRI of my lower spine since it is still giving me much trouble since delivery, we will know more next week. Also got a cortisone shot on the left side.

Oldwolf~ I HIGHLY recommend watching Iron Man, it was great. Robert Downey played that part like he was the only one that could play that part on this planet! About the time issue with you trying to find time to do so, I would recommend going on Maternity leave as soon as possible. Try to work on that!
By they way to all my fellow bloggers, Oldwolf, I will keep his name quiet until he says I can use it~ got recognized pretty big at work this week. So congrats to him. He works hard, every week, and some people don't recognize how smart and caring he is. He makes my job a little easier with some help from others.....you know who you are, to come back to work and start being a road/air warrior because they are on my team!
I love you guys! I will be flying the friendly skies with you again soon! I might have to call each of you more than the average 8 times now we talk a day so you can tell me that I am doing the right thing, and I love my job!

Camden smiled when he heard my voice and saw me when I got home.

If 8 week old little boys can be sad at this age, I do think he was a little sad his Grammy was not here tonight~! He gets used to her spoiling him rotten for a few days and then she has to leave. She was here since Monday and we all miss her. We are blessed to have her come up and help each week!

We will see Grandpa on Saturday along with the rest of the family for Shawn's graduation.
I am so proud of my Aunt "Weasel" she has finally raised 5 children and this is the last one that she will have to pack a school lunch for, it saddens me and I find joy in it all at the same time, I still see Shawn carrying his blanky around when I was a teenager but now I see Weasel having some time to breathe, live for herself, she doesn't realize it now but she has a whole life ahead of her, she still looks younger than ever and she is going to be just fine!

Aunt Jodi gets to babysit just so we can attend the graduation, she hasn't been able to see him since we left the hospital, which is understandable she has a little granddaughter that keeps her on her toes plus she went to Maryland and welcomed her new niece into the world. I cant wait to she sees him!

Camden gets his 2 Month shots on Tuesday, not looking forward to that at all. Steve is going with me and I think Mom and maybe Dad are coming up.

Becky, Jeff, Eli and Andrew will start their journey to us tomorrow for the weekend! We are all so excited about seeing them all! Andrew and Eli are getting so big! I'm going to pick Becky's brain as much as I can about the mommy business...

One of the best thoughts I had today was that I am so glad certain people come into our lives that God knows we just needed to have. I am glad I get to talk to her everyday and I hope that we remain very close friends for a really long time!

Good night all! It was a great day today!

My first Mother's Day and other various thoughts!

It seems no matter how much I tell myself to get on here everyday and write something taking care of a newborn just limits that on somedays, my apologies!

My first Mother's day was great! Saturday night my mom came up and babysat little Camden so Steve and I could have a "date" night. We went to a Irish place for dinner and to the movies to see Iron Man. It was a awesome movie, Robert Downey Jr. does an amazing job! And those to you who care, I picked out Stan Lee before Steve did. Sunday morning I woke up to lots of cards and gifts. I got alot of cards from people earlier in the week and I was amazed on how many people emailed, texted and called to wish me a Great 1st Mother's Day! Thank you! It really meant alot to me. Mom got me a waffle iron from Williams Sonoma that I had been wanting FOREVER! Plus some really pretty summer dishtowels that I just love. Steve got me a gift certificate to the Spa that I go to for a massage that I will be setting a date for that real soon! Dad came up Sunday and we all went to a really neat place for Brunch, it was an old historical house that was built in the 1880's.I will post some pictures shortly!~ Holly the food for lunch was good!!

Which reminds me, people keep asking me for photos make sure you are looking under the photos section~ I just posted some pictures from the photographer in the Album "Beanstalk Photography".

We found a Nanny for Camden her name is Lisa and we interviewed her last Friday. I think she is going to work out really well. The thought of leaving Camden with anyone frightens me to pieces but she does seem like she will do a great job. I am going to have her start watching one day a week until I go back to work so she can get used to him and he can ger used to her. Where is my Maternity leave going, 12 weeks is not enough! I am going to hate to leave the little guy.

We bought tickets tonight for our flight to the beach at the end of August. Sarah is taking all of us! This was her Christmas present to each of the boys and spouses. We will see how Camden will like his first trip to the beach! Eventhough if its like our trip to the park, he won't remember it and he will sleep through it! =)

I really like the blog concept! Its really great to stay connected to people you are not able to see as often as you would like. For example, Michelle Bass found us today I am so excited that we will be able to read about Hunter and Anna, I cannot believe how big they have got!
Im closing for now, will try in between diaper changing and feedings get on here more often!

Oldwolf ~ I know you are going to ask so he has had two BM's in two days we are estatic, who would of ever thought we would get so excited about the topic of poop!
Good night!

6 weeks, Where is the time going?

Yesterday Camden was 6 weeks old, can you believe it? He finally met his Nana from South Carolina last week. Sarah came up on Monday afternoon and stayed with us until Thursday. I have posted some pics from the stay in our photos. Sarah was such a great help since our little "angel" loves to be held. We were all sad when she had to leave to head back home. But we will be seeing her soon when we go down for Jon's wedding!

I had my 6 week check up with the OB and everything went pretty well, still having some lower back issues but hopefully they will start to ease up soon. We had dinner with Dad after my appointment since Mom was at my house. Dad got to spend some time with his grandson. She has been spending a couple of days a week and driving to St. Thomas from here so she can get her Camden fix. I love it when she sits with him and rocks him and just says over and over again, " I love him".

We made plans with Becky and Jeff for coming up Memorial Day weekend with the boys, I can't wait for Camden to meet his cousins, really I can't wait until he is big enough to play with them. Now they will just probably stare at him and wonder why he doesn't want to go outside and play with them. We have Shawn's graduation that weekend too, talk about 6 weeks going by fast, Shawn being 18 and graduating highschool that hits home too since it just seems like it went by so fast from when Shawn was this little cute boy that carried a "blanky" everywhere! =)

Camden is good, we are still in the weaning phase of getting him to formula and still having some Bowel Movement issues. Hopefully they will start to get better. But he is just such a blessing to us. A woman I work with lost her child this month and he was almost full term. I took this pretty hard, I just took Camden in the nursery and rocked him and just thought about how lucky we are to have a healthy baby and I just cannot imagine what she is going through. She is in my deepest thoughts.

Sorry I didn't write last week, was very busy. Mom came in on Monday this week and is staying until tomorrow. Its so nice to have her here and get stuff done around the house because she just forgets everything around her and he is her focus!
